Music Tuition
Naomi offers a range of music tuition options for students ranging from 5 years,
to adult age. Whether you’re a beginner or simply need to catch up on skills you once
had, Naomi can offer a personalised lesson for you.
Lessons are taught for thirty minutes, on a day which will suit you Monday to Friday.
However, if a longer lesson is requested this can certainly be provided without hassle.
Piano
Piano tuition starts with the basics of music, and moves at the pace of the student
toward reading music and being able to play the piano comfortably.
The student can opt to take a modern, classical or intertwined approach toward the music
once they are comfortable with playing. This will enable the student to take control over
the musical techniques they want to enhance and give even more enjoyment to them by
learning the pieces they always wanted to play.
Guitar
Guitar tuition is taught by starting with the basics of music and knowledge of the instrument.
Once a student knows how to use the guitar, it will be the next step to learn how to read the
music. This is usually the course of action taken by Naomi. However if the student has specific
interests in learning chords or a certain song, without reading the music, this can be discussed
with Naomi and a different strategy can be figured out.
Keyboard
Keyboard tuition is much the same as piano tuition, offering the ability to read music and
competently play it on the keyboard. However, in this case, keyboard tuition also offers
the ability to use the keyboard itself and utilise the technological assets which come with it.
Music Theory
Music theory deals with the mechanics of music and how music works. Music theory tuition focuses
on the development of the knowledge of the elements of music. That is, rhythm, melody, harmony,
structure, timing, dynamics and texture. This list, however, does not restrain music theory to
these subjects only, but simply helps one to understand what it covers.
Music Skills Development
Music skills development refers to the development of skills which are already possessed by the
student. For example if your child is currently learning an instrument at school but is looking
for some extra help which will develop the skills already being taught, then music skills
development is the path to take.
